Annual Hunt Spring Hunt
Held at Treasure Shores beach access On May 8th, 2010.
On May 8th we had our beach hunt at Treasure Shores Beach. Everyone started arriving around 9:00Am. The hunt started around 10:00Am.
We had 20 members in attendance and 15 hunted.
Mitch King planted a football size field, with 1001 tokens, 100 SILVER Dimes and 4 SILVER Halves, Large cents, Two cent pieces, Barber dimes, Indian head pennies and other coins.
Also there were a special token for a GARRETT ACE250 metal detector. Once again Frank Hansen came in first place with a meager 166 tokens.. He had first choice of prizes. Everyone won something. That was donated to the club by him. Plus Hats, t-shirts and other gear.
The day ended around 12 noon. And everyone seemed to have a great time.
