next meeting is
The
January meeting was called to order at
The
Pledge of Allegiance was led by Richard Hart, Jr.
The
minutes were read by the Secretary and accepted.
There
was no Treasurer’s report. Mary
McGee was unable to attend the meeting.
There
were 24 members and 2 guests present.
Everyone
was reminded that their dues are due.
Daniel
Hart volunteered to make badges for all the members.
Richard (president) suggested that the officers badges have the name of
the office written on the badge of each officer.
Richard
thanked Jim Stewart for his leadership as president last year.
Jim
Stewart will be in charge of ordering and selling T-shirts and hats.
Mark Holshoe and Larry Blair will help with the shirts.
Richard
recognized Mitch King . Mitch has
been Vice-President of TCAS since 1999. He
is very active and a supportive member, organizing our Benefit Hunt and other
hunts. Mitch maintains our web
page and buys and stores supplies for our hunts such as our silver.
Mitch has been the winner of master hunter seven times in the last nine
years. He also travels and keeps
our hobby interesting, and is a wonderful, competitive diplomat representing
our club abroad, always wearing his club t-shirt.
Mitch
was presented with a new t-shirt and a free membership for one year.
Amy
Hart will be responsible for writing a newsletter for the club.
Jim Stewart and Mitch King were asked to give her some history.
Amy showed samples of the newsletter.
All club members are asked to give her some input so that the
newsletter will be a success and keep us all informed about what’s going on.
Skip Watson suggested having a link to the newsletter on the TCAS web site which is: geocities.com/TCAS_club
Larry
Johnston talked about the articles he writes for Florida Today.
We had two guests at the meeting as a result of reading Larry’s last
column.
There
will be a club hunt on Saturday, February 9 at
Mitch
will provide maps to

Small talked about his hunt in
Richard
Hart has given the responsibility of hiding the club Token
to Mitch King since it is to be kept in
Marty
Hufnagel will bring doughnuts in February.
Mary McGee will make the coffee. Larry
Blair will bring soda.
There
will be a planning meeting at Marty Hufnagel’s home on

be shown on the web page unless the Members request that their find not be
shown.
